106 Years of Heritage - A New Journey Ahead

As many of you know, Richardson Motor Group has been family-owned for over 100 years. Since 1919, when my great-grandfather began our partnership with Ford, we have been trusted by generations across East Yorkshire.

Over the past few years, Ford's UK model range has reduced significantly - from ten model lines to just five today. With fewer choices for our customers, it has been decided to conclude our Ford new car sales franchise from 31st December 2025.

This does not mark the end of our Ford relationship.

We will remain Ford Appointed aftersales support locations at both Driffield and Bridlington - which includes servicing, warranty, and genuine Ford parts.
Offer Ford Direct nearly-new cars at excellent value.

So, while our showroom offering will evolve, your Ford ownership experience remains fully supported.

To ensure we continue driving excellence in East Yorkshire, we have expanded our family of brands:

GWM (Driffield main dealer, Bridlington satellite) already delighting customers with the Ora 03, Haval Jolion, and the new Poer 300 pickup.
Omoda & Jaecoo (exclusive to Bridlington) -modern, bold designs including Omoda 5 & 9, Jaecoo 7, and soon the Jaecoo 5. With several new models arriving in 2026, one will even fill the much-missed Fiesta-sized gap.
Chery (launching Driffield, in October 2025)- a global manufacturer with over 1.26 million vehicles sold in just the first half of 2025. Already behind Jaguar Land Rover production in Asia and parent to Omoda & Jaecoo, Chery brings proven quality. We are excited to introduce the Tiggo SUV range, starting from just £24,995, and more to come in 2026.
